Layne Bosworth Lish

Layne Bosworth Lish passed away in his sleep peacefully, on August 16, 2015, in North Dakota. Layne was born on September 30, 1968, to Gene Lynn Lish and Jane Bosworth at the Marsh Valley Hospital. He attended Elementary School in Downey and Middle School in Arimo, Idaho. He attended his freshman year at Marsh Valley High School, where he loved football and wrestling. He took 2nd place that year in the District Tournament in Wrestling. The next year, Layne’s parents moved to Star Valley, Wyoming, so Layne spent the next three years attending Star Valley High School, graduating in the the Class of 1987. After graduating, he moved to Logan Utah to attend Bridgerland Vocational Center to learn Auto Body. He earned a Certificate of Proficiency in Auto Body Repair. Layne married Robbin Wolfley in January of 2000. To this marriage was born a baby boy, Lyndon Theoan Lish, who is now 14 years old. Layne loved spending time with Lyndon. Robbin and Layne were later divorced. They remained friends and did a great job of co-parenting. Layne is also the father of Mashayla Kendel Lish. She is 6 years old and starting school this year. She is a beautiful little girl and her smile makes everyone love her. Just the mention of her name made her dad’s face light up. Layne was a good father to both of his children and took his responsibility seriously. Layne loved his brothers and sister. He loved all of his grandparents and his parents. He always showed love and respect to everyone. He had many friends and if he met you, then he considered you a friend. He was very compassionate and would help anyone in need. He was a hard worker and honest in his dealings. He was truly an example to all that knew him. He will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by his Stepfather Randy A Jones, grandfathers Sam Lish and Jim Kenney. His grandparents Don and Helene Bosworth and an uncle Ross Bosworth. Layne is survived by his children Lyndon and MaShayla, Parents, brothers and sister and his very special Grand Mother Dona Bell Trego. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 26 at 11:00 a.m. in the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N. in Malad. Friends may visit with the family from 10:15-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to
