L. L. Andersen, age 86, died at Burley Sunday
Laurence LeRoy Andersen, age 86, died Sunday in Cassia Memorial Nursing Home, Burley, of natural causes.

Mr. Andersen was born at Bear River City, Utah, a son of Andrew C. and Sophia Johnson Andersen. He married Elizabeth Ann Barnett March 18, 1909, in Brigham City and the marriage was solemnized Feb. 13, 1931, in the Logan LDS Temple.

Mr. Andersen retired from the US Fish & Wild Life Service Division on July 31, 1952, after 34 years service. He was an elder in the LDS Church.

Surviving are his widow; five sons and a daughter, Leon L., Joseph N., both of Challis, Idaho; Loren D. (Cy), Malad; L. DeVon, Murtaugh, Idaho; F. LaDell, Logan; 26 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters, Richard, Pocatello; Fred, Cleveland, Idaho; Hans L. and Mrs. Nina Jensen, Ogden; Mrs. Annie Fielding, Provo;

Bishop Gordon Crowther officiated at funeral services Wednesday noon in Malad Second LDS Ward Chapel.

Family prayer was offered by Parker Richards; invocation, Ron Andersen, and benediction, Jay Anderson. Speakers were Bishop Max King, Ralph Harding Jr. and Geraldine Andersen, who read the obituary. Two solos were sung by Earl B. Jones, accompanied by Myra Jean John, who also played prelude and postlude music.

At Malad City Cemetery, dedicatory prayer was offered by Richard Anderson.

Flowers were carried by members of Second Ward Relief Society, Florence Hubbard, president.

Casket bearers were Ted Anderson, Louis Andersen, Jay Anderson, Don Richards, Clinton Andersen and Larry Mathews.

Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
