Laura Louise Smith Brinkerhoff

Malad…..Laura Louise Smith Brinkerhoff, 87, wife of the late Jack Brinkerhoff, passed away on Sunday July 1, 2012 in Sandy, Utah. She was born July 14, 1924 in Malad, Idaho a daughter of Samuel Jr. and Mabel Jensen Smith. She married Jack Fredrick Brinkerhoff on October 2, 1946 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple She was an accomplished seamstress and worked for Brigham Apparel in Brigham City, Utah for 15 years. She later worked as the Administrator/Manager of the Malad Senior Citizens Center over 10 years. Louise was a active member the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had held many callings. She and her husband, Jack, served a Temple Endowment Mission. After her husband Jack passed away, she moved to Sandy, Utah to be near her children. She is survived by her children; Dale (Jaylene) Brinkerhoff; Debbie (Mike) Spackman; Ed (Annette) Brinkerhoff. 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings; Glen (Vereen) Smith; Lucille (Tom) Laws; Boyd (Mahon) Smith; James (Judy) Smith and Gordon (Rhea) Smith She was preceded in deathy by her parents, husband, Jack; eldest son Neil (Linda) Brinkerhoff and one brother; Donald Smith. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 7, 2012 at 12 nooon in the Malad LDS 3rd Ward Chapel 200 W 400 N. Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening from 7-8 pm at the Horsley Funeral Home (766-4330) 132 W. 300 N. in Malad and on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:30-11:30.
