Laura Elizabeth Bigler Archibald

FORMER ONEIDA RESIDENT DIES AT POCATELLO

Laura Elizabeth Bigler Archibald, 89, died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alton Andrus at Pocatello.

Mrs. Archibald was born Oct. 19, 1873 in Farmington, Utah, a daughter of Adam and Isabelle, Bigler. When she was eight years old, she moved with her family to Plymouth, Utah.

She married Willard Archibald, July 23, 1895 in Logan, Utah.

They lived in Plymouth for a year and in 1897 they moved to St. John, Idaho. In 1898, they homesteaded in Daniels, Idaho as some of the earliest settlers there. They made their home in Daniels for many years and in 1930 came to Malad. Mr. Archibald died in 1944, and she moved to Pocatello where she has since made her home.

Mrs. Archibald was a member of the LDS Church.

Three sons and a daughter have preceded her in death.

Surviving are five sons, Willard, Devere, Chester and Arnold all of Pocatello and Bruce, Moab, Utah; one daughter Isabelle Andrus, Pocatello, 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one brother, Stanley Bigler, Plymouth, Utah; and a sister, Mrs. Elvira Sylvester, Ogden.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Pocatello and burial was in the St. John Cemetery.
