LaRue Moser Whitworth

On Monday May 18, 2020 LaRue M. Whitworth, a loving wife and mother passed away at the age of 80. LaRue was born on May 4, 1940 in Lava Hot Springs, ID. On June 14, 1958 she married her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life, Max T. Whitworth. Shortly after their marriage Max joined the Navy and they began their journey together moving around the United States. Together they moved 19 times in 20 years and raised five children, Max E., Sheri, Bruce, Curtis, and Rex. They then came back to the place they both loved and lived the rest of their life together near Inkom.

LaRue was a feisty, strong woman who valued family above all else. Her family knows her best for her kind heart and generous spirit. She loved everyone unconditionally and always found ways to serve those around her. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, LaRue actively participated in her church community and served in the Temple with her sweetheart. She loved animals and was frequently surrounded by horses and Rottweiler puppies. LaRue enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crocheting and completed many projects to give to those she loved. LaRue loved visiting all of her children and grandchildren and learning about their lives. She was not one to pass up a game with her grandchildren. At family gatherings, LaRue always had plenty of delicious home-cooked offerings. LaRue will always be remembered for her kind smile.

LaRue was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Hazel Moser, and her son Max E. with whom she is surely grateful to be reunited. She is survived by her husband, Max, her sisters Neta Faye and Johanna, her children Sheri (Bob) Wagstaff, Bruce (Harmony), Curtis, and Rex (Tammi) Whitworth.

We will be honoring LaRue as a wife, mother, and friend on Saturday May 30th from 4-6 at her home, 73 S Indian Creek Rd, in Inkom.
