Larry J England

Larry J England, 82, of Arimo , husband of the late Lettie Pratt England, passed away on Friday September 7, 2012 at his home. He was born September 12, 1929 in Robin, Idaho a son of Elmer “Jack” and Alice Viola Crump England. He was raised and educated in Robin and Arimo and was a graduate of Arimo High School, class of 1948. Larry was drafted into the Army in 1950, during the Korean War. He served in the 45th Infantry Division, 1st Battalion, 180 Regiment, Company D. For 2 years he was engaged on the front lines and was honorably discharged in 1952. Following his military service, he began an apprenticeship as a Brick Mason. He married Lettie Mae Pratt on July 23, 1954 in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City L.D.S. Temple. Larry worked for many years as a Masonry Contractor, and had worked projects, big and small all over the region. He also had owned a Dairy Farm in Lava Hot Springs and in his later years, owned and operated England Convenience Store in Arimo. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and especially spending time with his family. Larry was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and through the years had served in various callings. He is survived by his children; Annette (Vere) Daniels, Andrea (Bill) Toler, Belinda Urrea, Lettie (Lonnie) Gunter, Doug (Geraldene) England, John (Leslie) England, Jeanette (Hugh) McKinney; a sister; Joyce O’Connor; 36 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years; Lettie Mae Pratt England; 1 grandson; Marshall Toler; 1 granddaughter; Lisa England. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 12, 2012 at 12 noon in the Arimo LDS Stake Chapel, Bishop Randal Morris, officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home 570 N. Meadowview Dr. in Arimo. and on Wednesday at the church prior to services from 10:30 11:30 am. Burial will follow in the Arimo Cemetery.
