Klain T. Christensen

Klain T. Christensen, age 74 passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on December 29, 2018 at his home in Robin, Idaho. He was born in Vanport, Oregon on June 5, 1944. He was the second of six children born to Golden and Genessee Christensen. Klain spent his early life on the family farm in Marsh Valley, Idaho. He graduated from Marsh Valley High School in 1962. Klain was very active in FFA, wrestling and was selected as a Boys State Delegate. Klain attended Ricks College and served an LDS mission in the Great Lakes area.

The day after returning from his mission, he went bowling with his brother Calvert and while at the bowling alley he met a cute little brunette named Elaine Stolworthy. They fell head over heels in love and were married August 19, 1966 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Six children soon blessed their home. Klain and his brother Calvert spent the next 20 years farming with their father in the Grandview and Marsh Valley areas. During this time Klain attended Idaho State University and received a marketing and management business degree.

Besides his love for farming, Klain also had an incredible talent for inventing and manufacturing all manner of mechanical devices. He spent countless hours in his shop making his dreams become a reality. If he could imagine it, he could build it. He loved his farming and inventing, but his greatest love and accomplishments were his family. Klain expressed his love and appreciation for them on a regular basis. He had a wonderful relationship with each of his children and siblings. His family was his rock and his strength. Klain held his mother and wife in the highest regard and always treated them with love and respect. Klain was revered and loved by his family and friends. There will be a hole in their hearts that can never be filled.

Klain is survived by his wife Elaine S. Christensen and children: Devin K. Christensen (Lori), Tamera Christensen Hatch (Richard), Brent Christensen (Christian), Debera Christensen Swensen (Kerry), Emily Christensen Andersen (Jared), Jared Dean Christensen (Erin), and twenty-five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Siblings: Calvert T. Christensen (Josie), Karren McClean (Denny), Nancy Harris (Tate), Carla Crawley (Mark), Leann Seamons (Allen).

A viewing for Klain Christensen will be held Wednesday January 2, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday January 3, 2019 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Arimo LDS Stake Center, 286 Henderson Rd., Arimo, Idaho.
