Kenneth Blaisdell

Malad – Kenneth Blaisdell Malad-area farmer and rancher, died Sunday, Dec 26, 1993, in the Oneida County Hospital.

He was born July 10, 1925, in St John, a son John E and Florence Julia Barber Blaisdell. He grew up and was educated in Malad, and was a graduate of Malad High School. He married Lela Daniels Dec 7, 1944, in Pocatello. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple in 1965.

Mr. Blaisdell had farmed and ranched in Malad, and had also operated a cattle ranch in the Cottonwood Valley near Swan Lake. He was an elder in the LDS Church. Next to the love he had for his family, he had loved raising and working with his horses and cattle.

He is survived by his wife, Lela, of Malad; three sons and spouses, Blaine K and Shelley, Keith D and Jill and Daniel and Kris, all of Malad; two daughters and spuses, Gayle and Lamont Udy of Riverside, Udy, and Sherry and Jeffrey Moeller of Malad; 15 grandchildren; four brother, Noland T., J Dale, Theron L., all of Malad, and Reed R., of Phoenix.; and four sisters, Thora Jensen and Lorraine Dives of Malad, Alice Edwards of Ogden, Utah, and Helen Alvarez of Las Vegas, Nev. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29 at noon in the St. John LDS Ward Chapel, 308 W. 400 N., Malad, Bishop Rex Daniels officiating. Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W 300 N., this evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Burial wii be in the Malad City Cemetery.
