Katherine Harrison Pelton Moore, 97, die at the Bannock Geriatric Center in Pocatello on Saturday, May 8, 1993, of cause incident to age.

Kate will always be remembered as a loving and devoted friend, aunt, mother and grandmother to all who knew her. She had been a resident of Pocatello for nearly 70 years.

She was born December 28, 1895 in Malad, Idaho, the first of seven children to Frank Harrison and Rachel Evans Vanderwood Harrison. She grew up and attended school in Malad. She married Iril Arthur Pelton on Aug 6, 1916, in Downey, Idaho, and they were the parents of one daughter and one son. They were divorced Iril died in Boise on August 29, 1971.

She was married to Forest Moon on Aug 9, 1947. He died Feb. 1971 in Pocatello.

Her children are Mazie, wife of George Phillips, of Pocatello; and Ralph Pelton, with his wife Margaret, of Orem, Utah. She has seven grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. One great-granddaughter preceded her in death. She also is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Frank Parker (Bessie) of Pocatello, and Mrs. Reese John (Alene) of California. Three brothers and one sister have also preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 1993, at the Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 Fourth Ave., in Pocatello. Graveside services will be conducted in the Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello.
