Kadey RaNae Kunz

Kadey RaNae Kunz, almost 2, of Malad City, Idaho passed away peacefully in her home on September 1, 2015, after a valiant battle with infant leukemia. Kadey was born on September 30, 2013 in Montpelier, Idaho to Andy & Ronda Kunz. She was the youngest of their blended family of 5 girls. Kadey loved playing with her sisters and cousins, watching movies when she wasn’t feeling well, and tinkering on things when she did feel well. She had a love for the outdoors and for all animals, both real and stuffed. She was diagnosed at just 9 months old and spent many long months at Primary Children’s Hospital in the Cancer/Transplant Unit. While there she became friends with many doctors, nurses, techs and other staff, sharing her joy and zest for life with everyone who entered her room. In her short time with us, she touched so many lives and brought so many people together. She was truly our angel on earth. Kadey is survived by her parents, Andy & Ronda Kunz; her sisters, Alexis, Mackinly, Kayanna and Taryn; her grandparents, Ron & Elaine Peterson of Georgetown, Idaho, Alice Loertscher of Malad City, Idaho, & Audie and Kathy Kunz of Cedar City, Utah; her aunts & uncles, Brent & DaNae Peterson of Georgetown, Idaho, Mike & Cheri Fife of Montpelier, Idaho, along with many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. We would like to add a special “thank you” to the wonderful staff at Primary Children’s Hospital ICS Unit, Nell J. Redfield Memorial Hospital, Access Home Health & Hospice, and Dr. Clay Campbell and his staff for all the support, care and love shown to Kadey anytime day or night. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 9 at 12 noon in the Malad LDS Stake Chapel. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Tuesday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10-11:45 a.m. Burial will follow in the St. John Cemetery.
