Justin Craig Gilgen

Justin Craig Gilgen, 31, of Malad, Idaho passed away of an unknown cause on Friday, July 7, 2017. The third of five children, Justin was born on February 25, 1986, in Logan, Utah. Justin grew up in the beautiful area of Pleasantview, where he enjoyed bicycling, games of kick the can and night games with cousins, camping out on the trampoline, playing basketball with siblings, riding his motorcycle, and driving his Chevelle. He also loved to go fishing and shooting clay pigeons with his family. Justin was known for his quick sense of humor and kindness to others. He was a hard worker and despite his quiet nature, he was always willing to help someone in need. Justin was also famous in his family for giving the most thoughtful gifts. Of his many talents, Justin was an excellent chef and his family enjoyed trying every new culinary adventure. Justin was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents, Mary Richards (Salmon) and H. David Gilgen (Malad). His sisters, Mindy (Bart) Crofoot of Salmon, Katie (Jared) Fisher of Idaho Falls, brothers, Ryan (Jodie) Gilgen of Riverton, Utah, and Jason (Loryn) Gilgen of Eagle Mountain, Utah. Justin was also a favorite uncle to a niece and seven nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. In the Malad LDS Stake Chapel. Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening at the Horsley Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Friends may also visit with the family at the church from 9:30-10:30 prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Pleasantview Cemetery.
