Service Monday For Mrs. Yearsley
Funeral services for Mrs. Juna Ann Gibbs Yearsley, 87, were held Monday afternoon at the Malad Second Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Max King officiating.
Family prayer at the Benson Funeral Home was offered by Bishop Melvin N. Yearsley.
At the chapel, the speakers were Ralph W. Harding, Bishop Devere Harris, Bishop Max King; obituary, Golden Gibbs; prelude and postlude music, Myra Jean John; Vocal selections, Helen Jones, Miriel Dredge, Wanda Edwards; invocation, Gerald Yearsley; benediction. Merrill Johnson; accompanist, Cherrel Budge.
The concluding rites were at Brigham City cemetery with Delbert Dabb offering the dedicatory prayer.
Flowers were carried by the Second Ward Relief Society, Pearl Jones, president,
Casket bearers were Nathan Yearsley, Ralph Yearsley, Eli Yearsley, Wayne Probasco, Delmar Yearsley, Delbert Dabb.
Mrs. Yearsley died Friday at her home of natural causes. She was born Dec. 22, 1879 at Portage, Box Elder, Utah, a daughter of William H. and Letitia John Gibbs. She was married to Nathan David Yearsley Dec. 21, 1905, in the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Yearsley died in 1927.
Mrs. Yearsley attended school in the Portage schools and was an active member of the LDS church. She was a Relief Society visiting teacher.
After her marriage, she lived in Woodruff and moved to Malad in 1940.
Survivors include three sons, Melvin N. Yearsley of Malad; Karl G. Yearsley of Richland, Wash., and Dee R. Yearsley of Brigham City; three daughters, Mrs. Alta Raymond, Ruthinda G. Yearsley, Mae J. Yearsley, of Malad; 20 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; one brother, J. Hyrum Gibbs, Portage; and three sisters, Mrs. Naomi Larsen, Lynwood, Calif., and Mrs. Louise Allen and Mrs. Priscilla Maisey of Ogden.
