Julie Hess Chrisoffersen Quarles

Malad……..Julie Hess Christoffersen Quarles, 57, of Roy, Utah and former Malad resident, passed away on November 27, 2009, at the McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. She was born July 27, 1952, in Malad, a daughter of Lyle Eldon and Ruth Daniels Hess. Julie received her education in Malad and was a graduate of Malad High School. She had been married to Gary Shepherd, Brad Barber and Con Christoffersen all ending in divorce. At the time of her death, she was married to Kemper Quarles. For the past several years, Julie was employed at Convergys Co. as a Customer Service Representative. She enjoyed spending time with her family very much and especially being with her grandchildren who were the light of her life. Julie had such an amazing spirit and always found the good in everyone and everything. All those who knew Julie loved her. she was an amazing mother, daughter, aunt, grandma and friend. One of her favorite things to do was to cheer for the England Patriots football team! Any time they were playing, she was sure to be watching them. Julie had a great love of reading and passed that on through her children. Her fun and loving personality will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. Julie is survived by her four children; Lisa (Shane) Willie of Holbrook, Idaho; Chad (Brenda) Barber of Ogden, Utah; Heath (Mandy)Barber of Tremonton, Utah and Nick Barber of Farmington, Utah. 1 brother; Monte (Nancy) Hess of Soda Springs, Idaho and 1 sister; Ruth Ann (Dale) Atkinson of Garland, Utah. She has 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009, at 12 noon in the Malad LDS 4th Ward Chapel located at 20 S. 100 W. Friends may visit with Julie’s family on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the Horsley Funeral Home 132 W. 300 N. in Malad and on Thursday at the funeral home prior to services from 10:30-11:30 am.
