Services Held For Mrs. Unsworth

Bishop J. Arthur Servoss officiated at the funeral service Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Josephine Crookston Unsworth, age 72, who died Monday at the Oneida County Hospital of a heart ailment.

Fred Fowler offered the family prayer. At the Fourth Ward, LDS ward chapel, Juke Kern offered the invocation and Colen Sweeten, Jr., the benediction. Speakers were President S. A. I Hendricks and Dr. Thos. W, Richards. Musical numbers were solos, Eldon Corbridge and Don Castleton Jr; duet, June Ward and Robbi Raymond. Accompanists were Ruth Davis and Fern Willie who also played the prelude and postlude.

Burial at the Hyrum Cemetery was directed by Benson Funeral Home. Raiford Benson offered the dedicatory prayer; flowers were carried by the Fourth Ward Relief Society and casket bearers were Ronald Jones, Joseph Kern, Ronald Elliott, Lowell Glenn, William Dunn, Reed Jenson.

Mrs. Unsworth was born Oct. 24, 1889, at Logan, a daughter of David and Josephone Hartvigsen Crookston. She attended school at Hyrum and was married to Joseph Unsworth, June 22, 1910, in the Logan LDS Temple. They homesteaded in Pocatello Valley and moved to Malad in 1923. Surviving are her husband, a son, David, Malad; daughters, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Kern, Malad; Mrs. Rueul (Edna) Jones, Mrs. David (Grace) Bickmore, Provo; Mrs. Burnell (Myrle) Fowler, ?; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, ?, Hyrum; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Jensen, Hyrum; Mrs. ? Dunn, Logan; Mrs. Wm. (Bessie) Thomas, Malad.
