Joseph Unsworth, 82, Dies November 30th

Joseph Unsworth, age 82, died Nov. 30th at an Orem, Utah rest home.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Malad Fourth Ward LDS Chapel with Counselor Elden Archibald officiating.

Speakers were President S. A. Hendricks and Leon Castleton. Family prayer was offered by Cecil R. Sorensen; invocation. Bishop Colen H. Sweeten, Jr.; benediction, Bishop Arthur Servoss. Eldon Corbridge sang a vocal solo and Fern Willie played a violin selection. Accompanists were Cherrel Budge and Pauline Buehler who also played the prelude and postlude music.

Concluding rites were held at the Hyrum, Utah cemetery. Raiford Benson offered the dedicatory prayer. Flowers were arranged by members of the Fourth Ward Relief Society, Roma Facer president. Casket bearers were Ronald Jones, Joseph Kern, Ronald Elliot, Craig Knight, Davie Kern and Norman Evans.

Benson Funeral Home directed the services.

Mr. Unsworth was born May 1, 1885, at Hyrum, a son of James and Wilhelmina Orell Unsworth. He married Josephine Crookston, June 22, 1910, in the Logan LDS Temple. She died Dec. 4, 1961. A retired farmer, Mr. Unsworth was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are a son and four daughters: David, Malad; Mrs. Charles (Helen) Kern. Bountiful; Mrs. Reuel (Edna) Jones. Mrs. David (Grace) Bickmore, Provo; Mrs. Bumell (Mvrle) Fowler, Orem; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother. Guy K. Unsworth, Salt Lake City.
