Joseph Clyde Jenson

Joseph Clyde Jenson, 81, passed away peacefully, February 9, 2017, surrounded by his loving family, at Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital, in Logan, Utah.

Joseph was born on March 17, 1935, in Malad, Idaho. He was the eldest son of Clyde and Zella Buehler Jenson.

He was raised in Logan, Utah and spent his summers helping his father run the family farm in Arbon Valley, Idaho. He attended schools in Malad and Arbon, Idaho, Logan, Utah and graduated from South Cache High School.

Joe married Ann Eddy Jenson on July 7, 1958. They were later sealed as an eternal family in the Logan LDS Temple, on June 15, 1970.

Joe loved farming and was a successful farmer for 60 years. While raising his family, he also enjoyed doing sales during the winter months to supplement his income. He took great pleasure snow skiing, water skiing and playing tennis with his family.

Joe was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He dearly loved the gospel and serving in the LDS temples. He and Ann served as ordinance workers for 11 years in the Logan Temple. They also served missions in the Washington DC and Nauvoo Temples.

His greatest love was his wife, his children and posterity, reading the scriptures and serving in the temples.

Joe is survived by his eternal companion, Ann, of Logan, Utah, and his children; Lorie (Dean) Blaisdell of Malad, Idaho; David (Sheri) Jenson of Centerville, Utah; Janna (Clay)McKee of Chubbuck, Idaho; Christine Sutherland of Malad, Idaho; Joseph (Julie) Jenson of Herriman, Utah; Victoria (Shawn) Furniss of Fort Worth, Texas; Jennifer (Bryan) Horsley of Highland, Utah. 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, and his brother; Rodney (Cindy) Jenson of Sandy, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother; Ralph Jenson; grandson; Bryant Jenson and great-granddaughter Kennedy Jibson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at 11am, in the Lundstrom Park Third Ward LDS Church, at 1260 N. 1600 E., Logan, Utah. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8pm and 9:30 to 10:45am prior to the funeral services. Internment will follow at the Logan City Cemetery.
