John Hans Berg

John Hans Berg (Chief Crazy Horse), 83 years old when he passed at Vista Monte Hall, lived in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, passed away on Wednesday, the 17th of March 2016, in Pocatello, Idaho. John was born in the town of Ogden, Utah on the 21st of April 1933. He was the child of Lorenzo A. Berg and Bertha B. Lovell and sisters Ruby Williams and Shirley Hurst. He was married/divorced to Ruth S. Berg, married/divorce Joyce Mikesell, life partner Erna Clark-Berg. Graduated Ogden High School, he Retired from Tooele Army Depot. He served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk and U.S.S. Enterprise. John loved hunting, fishing, water skiing, boating, 4×4 club enthusiast, firearms, dogs and cats. A beloved member of the LDS Mormon Church. He is survived by Kenneth H. Berg (Son) Married to Lisa A., John N. Berg (Son) Married to Teresa M., several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, several nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws, and last but not least many friends. He is predeceased by Gary L. Berg (Son), Ruth S. Berg (Ex-Wife), Erna C. Berg (Life Partner) and Joyce Mikesell (Ex-wife). Graveside Services will be held on the 23rd of March 2016 at 12:00pm at the Lava Hot Spring Cemetery. John was known to be a stern, loving, and social man and will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 23 at 12 noon in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home.
