Malad….Joe “Joey” Clarke Erskine, 30, of Malad, husband of Heather Tuttle Erskine, passed away at his home on August 21, 2010. He was born March 10, 1980 in Ogden, Utah a son of Richard L. and Donna Jean Vanderwood Erskine. Joey was raised and educated in West Jordan, Utah and Malad and was a graduate of Malad High School, class of 1998. He married Heather Tuttle September 17, 2004 in Brigham City, Utah. Since their marriage, they have resided in Tremonton and Malad. Joey loved the outdoors, video games, walking and especially loved being with his family. He is survived by his wife, Heather a daughter Prezli,4, and a son, Jericko, 2. His mother; Jean (Phillip) Boley of Malad; father; Rick Erskine of Salt Lake City, Utah. sister; Shauna (Alan) Coleman of Malad; sister; Tracy Erskine of Malad; brother; Ryan (Alisha) Erskine of Soda springs; brothers; Rick D. and Mike Erskine, both in Utah; and sister; Kelley England also of Utah. He is also survived by his grandmother; Donna Vanderwood of Malad and grandmother; Dorothy Ellis of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was preceded in death by his grandfather; Howard Vanderwood. Funeral services will be held on Friday August 27, 2010 at 12 noon in the Horsley Funeral Home 132 W. 300 N. in Malad. Friends may visit with Joey’s family on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6-8 pm and on Friday prior to services from 10:30-11:45 am. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery.
