Joe Harlan Anderson

GARLAND- Joe Harlan Anderson. 65, died at his home on Sunday, March 11, 2001.

He was born April 22, 1935, in Ogden, Utah, son of Ross Arbon and Helen Regene Henry Anderson., He married Helen Hendrickson in January of 1959. They later divorced.
He attended elementary school in Snowville and graduated from Bear River High School in 1953. He served four years in the navy, where he received several commendations for outstanding service.
He loved his children and had great concern for his family. He also had a love for horses and enjoyed working with livestock and animals. He especially liked his dogs. He loved life.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as a high priest in the Garland Second Ward.
He is survived by his mother, four daughters: Sheryl (Lyle)Morey, Shellie (Skip) Morey, Sonja (Rick) Green, all of Vernal, Utah; Sandra Maddox, Craig, Colorado; six brothers: Douglas H. Anderson, Kennewick, Washington; Ross J. (Bonna) Anderson, Stone, Idaho; Carl G. (Marilyn) Anderson, Shepard, Montana; Dewey W. (Rena) Anderson, North Ogden; H. Andrew (Marty) Anderson, Stone, Idaho; and Lynn J. (Connie) Anderson, Snowville; seven grandsons, and three grand-daughters.
He is preceded in death by his father and infant son.
Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, March 15, 2001 at 12:00 noon at the Garland Tabernacle, 140 West Factory, Garland, with Bishop Steve Archibald officiating.
Interment in the Snowville Cemetery with military honors by VFW Post 165.
