JoAnn Gleed Tuttle

NORTH OGDEN – After an extended illness, JoAnn Gleed Tuttle, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, left this earth to return to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 21, 2001. She was surrounded by her loving family.
JoAnn was born on May 21, 1938 in Malad, Idaho, the daughter of Hubert S. and Mary R. Gleed.
JoAnn attended Malad City Schools and graduated from Malad High School. She attended L.D.S. Business College where she received an Associate Degree in Accounting.
After graduating from business school, JoAnn received an L.D.S. Mission call to Japan. She was thrilled with the many experiences she encountered in that land.
When JoAnn returned from her Mission, she resided in Salt Lake City. While working with the telephone company, she met her husband, Larry E. Tuttle who was attending classes at the University of Utah. After a short engagement, she and Larry were married for Time and Eternity in the Salt Lake Temple.
JoAnn was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her most cherished callings were positions held in Primary and Relief society where she served as a teacher. JoAnn’s life was one of service: She served her own family with love and understanding. She also took care of the medical and physical needs of her mother-in-law and also aided her brothers and sister as they cared for their father.
JoAnn was much loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Larry E. Tuttle; children: Shawn, Harrisville; Michael, North Ogden; Shane, North Ogden; and two grandchildren: Dallin and Brigham. Also surviving are two brothers: Norman Gleed, Eagle, Idaho; Floyd Gleed, Malad, Idaho; and one sister: Mary Margaret Johnson, Holladay (Salt Lake City), Utah. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 26, 2001 at 1 p.m. at the Ben Lomond North-Ogden 4th Ward Chapel, located at 3352 N. 1050 E. with Bishop Matt Wardle officiating. Friends and family may call on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., and on Monday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Church.
Interment, North Morgan Cemetery.
