Jessie Isabell Barnett Wight, 76, Malad, died Monday in the Oneida County Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born August 28, 1902, at Weston to Ephraim and Elizabeth Ellen Perkins Barnett. She grew up in Weston and the Bothwell area and had lived the past 60 years in Malad.
She married Charles Thomas Wight on Dec. 6, 1922, in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served as Ward primary president, counselor in the Stake primary presidency, and as a teacher who had worked in genealogy.
She is survived by her husband of Malad; three daughters; Mrs. Bill (Charla) Jensen and Carryle Dudley, both of Malad, and Mrs. Grant (Jessie) King, Ogden, Utah; nine grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Thomas, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mrs. Mary Johnson, Logan, Utah.

Funeral services were held December 22, at the Malad LDS Ward Chapel, Bishop Wesley Crowther officiating. At the Benson Funeral. Home the family prayer was offered by Dean Moon and the program at the Chapel included; Myra Jean John, prelude, postlude and accompaniment music; Carl Willie, invocation; Maria Dredge, violin solo; Ray Jones, obituary.
Speakers were Jim Dudley and Jerry King and Bishop Crowther gave remarks. Bishop Earl Jones sung a vocal solo and Boyd Lewis gave the benediction.
Concluding Rites
The: concluding rites were held at the Malad City Cemetery, where Grant King offered the dedicatory prayer. Flowers were cared for by the Second Ward Relief Society, Glenda Jenson, president.
Casket bearers; Jim Dudley, Jerry King, Charles Dudley, Dean Moon, LaDell Anderson and Bernell Jones.
