Jennifer Higley Barr of Syracuse, Kansas, passed away on December 31, 2011 at the age of 31.

Among survivors are her parents, Randall J. and Ramona Linville Higley; a brother, Brodie Randall Higley; and a sister BreAnna Dee Higley, all of Malad.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 6, 2012 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Holly, Colorado. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse, Kansas.

Our beautiful mother, daughter, and friend Jennifer Higley Barr (904 East Avenue G., Syracuse, KS) slipped peacefully from this world to join her husband, sister and mother on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the age of 31.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday January 6, 2012 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Holly, Colorado. Bishop Matt Snyder will officiate and burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday Jan. 5, 2012 and from 8:00 A.M. to service time Friday Jan. 6, 2012 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Holly, CO.
Jennifer was born January 23, 1980, in Ogden, UT. She was the second child of Randy and Debbie Higley. She and her sister Penny were life-long best friends. Jennifer grew-up in Layton, UT, surrounded by friends and family. When she was 13 years old, her mother passed away due to complications from diabetes. Shortly thereafter, her father remarried. The new family, which included her father, stepmother, Ramona, and sisters Penny and Zandra, soon was joined by a brother, Brodie, and later a sister, BreAnna. The family moved to Weston, ID, where Jennifer finished high school and met the love of her life, Christopher Eugene Barr.
Chris and Jennifer were married October 6, 1998, in Weston, ID. They went through life together moving several times before settling down with their two children, Roxi Lynn Barr and Cameron Eugene Barr in Syracuse, KS.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother, Debbie Lynn Wayment Higley , of Layton, UT. in 1993; a sister, Penny Lee Higley McNeely of Shelley, ID. in 2007; her husband, Christopher Eugene Barr of Syracuse, KS. in 2010; a grandfather, Glen Lee Higley, Sr. of Clinton, UT. in 2010, an aunt, Debra Higley Allred of Clearfield UT. in 2006, cousins Scott Higley in 1993 and Donald Higley in 1997 of Clearfield, UT.
She is survived by her children Roxi and Cameron Barr of Syracuse, KS.; her parents Randall “Randy” J. and Ramona Linville Higley, a brother, Brodie Randall Higley, and a sister BreAnna Dee Higley, all of Malad, ID; a sister Zandra Christina Higley of Pocatello, ID.; a niece Brittany Lee McNeely of Idaho Falls, ID.; and a nephew, Seth James McNeely of Idaho Falls, ID. She is also survived by grandparents Carol Mae Shaw Higley of Clinton, UT., Darrel and Lyndsay Wayment of Roy, UT., and Stanley and Sharon Linville of Ririe, ID.; and by her in-laws Crae & Bernadette Barr of Syracuse, KS., John & Cathy and Annette Phillips of Syracuse, KS.,and Valerie & Michael and Matthew Griffin of Hutchison, KS.
