Dick Andrews dies at Downey; funeral services December 29th

James Richard Andrews, 72, Malad, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 1978, in the Marsh Valley Hospital in Downey.

He was born July 8, 1906 in Logan, Utah, a son of Nephi S. and Annie Johnson Andrews. He moved to Malad at the age of seven, when his parents homesteaded in the Daniels area.

He married Verda Stowe November 11, 1926 in Logan. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple December 29, 1952. He and his wife owned and operated a farm in the Daniels area until his retirement.

He was a member of the Malad First Ward, had managed the Ward farm, and had served as dance director there.

He had worked with A.S.C. for seven years and was a member of the Malad Valley Square Dance Club.

Survivors include his wife of Malad, two daughters: Mrs. Neal (Lois Holt, Pocatello, and Mrs. Paul (Dixie Lee) Evans, Idaho Falls.

Funeral Service

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 29 at 12 noon in the Benson Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
