James Reed Arbon

WILSONVILLE, Oregon – James Reed Arbon 55, died Tuesday, February 10, 1998 in Tualatin, Oregon from complications of lung cancer.

He was born August 9, 1942 in Malad, Idaho a son of James DeLome and Verona Smith Arbon.

On March 10, 1974, James married Georgene Kay H*d in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He was raised and educated in Snowville, graduating from Bear River High School. He lived in the Ogden area until 1968. He lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 25 years and in the Portland, Oregon area for the past four years.

James was a member of the LDS Church.

He had been a power lineman for the I.B.E.W. local 611, James was proud of his profession.

James was active in Civitan International. He brought much joy being Santa Claus to hospitalized children on Christmas Eve. His first love was his family.

Surviving are his wife of Wilsonville, Oregon; one son and three daughters, Jeff Arbon, Wilsonville, Ore; Jami Arbon, Portland, Ore.; Kelly Arbon (Ray) Balentine, Riverton, Utah; Rhonda (Stan) Ross, West Linn, Ore.; six grandchildren, Lindsay, Tyler, Kassi, Marc, Spencer, and Kimbree.

James is also survived by his parents of San Diego, Calif.; one brother and three sisters, Bruce Arbon, Huntington Beach, Calif.; Joan Henderson, Irvine, Calif.; Valerie Garille, Providence, Rhode Island; Christal Rose, San Diego, Calif.; and ten nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery James Arbon; one daughter, Kimberly Arbon Evans and one granddaughter, Kaylee Evans.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
