SAN DIEGO, Calif. – James Arbon, 85 formerly of Snowville, Utah died Sunday, June 21, 1998 in San Diego, Calif.

He was born November 10, 1912 in Snowville, a son of Moroni and Anna Johanson Arbon.

On April 14, 1940, James married Verona Smith in the Logan LDS Temple.

He was raised and educated in Snowville and Morgan and had lived in Ogden, Tremonton and San Diego from 1969 until his death.

James is survived by his wife of San Diego, Calif.; four children, D, Bruce (Cindy) Arbon, Huntington Beach, Calif., Joan (Michael) Henderson, Irvine, Calif.; Valerie (Ted) Garille, Providence, RI; Christal (Don) Rose, San Diego, Calif.; one daughter-in-law, Georgine Arbon, Wilsonville, Ore.; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are one brother and one sister, Odell (Beatrice) Arbon, and Ethel Cannon, both of Phoenix, Ariz.

James was preceded in death by one son, James Reed Arbon, two grandchildren, one great granddaughter, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Saturday at 12 Noon at the Snowville, Cemetery.
