J. Lloyd Udy
ROCKLAND – J. Lloyd Udy, 73, died Wednesday in a Salt Lake City hospital of a heart ailment.
He was born Nov. 3, 1898 in Farmington, Utah, to George Q. and Evelyn Moon Udy. He married Birdie Adams Layton on Feb. 28, 1940, at American Falls.
He was a rancher and stockman in the Rockland area.
Mr. Udy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the Idaho Cattlemen’s Association.
Survivors include his widow; stepsons Hyrum Layton, Reno, Nev., and Ben Layton, Fillmore, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Alvin E. (Lorraine) Jacobsen, Salt Lake City; brothers and sisters, Carl, Leadore; Roy, Las Vegas, Nev.; Grant, Mrs. Frank (Evelyn) Hartley, Mrs. Shirley (Edith) Byington, Mrs. Elmer (Lelia) Hartley, and Mrs. Lloyd (Ruby) Morris, all of Rockland, and Mrs. Orel (Melba) Ingland, Plain City, Utah.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, Kaysville, Utah, where friends may call Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Kaysville-Layton Memorial Park.
