Iris Nielsen Hill

HOLBROOK- Iris Nielsen Hill, 68, of Holbrook, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 1996 in the Oneida County Hospital of cancer.

She was born April 23, 1927 in Hyrum, Utah, a daughter of Albert and Ester Allen Nielson. She grew up and was educated in Hyrum, and was a graduate of South Cache High School. She had also attended Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah.

She worked for a time in Logan, Utah, at the First Security Bank.

On October 7, 1949 she married William Frank Hill in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They made their home in Holbrook, where they had since resided.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as a Relief Society president, as well as many other capacities, including many years in the music program.

She is survived by her husband, of Holbrook; two sons and spouses, Nord Frank and Nancy Hill, of Blackfoot, Cyril William and Peggy Hill, of Carey, Idaho; two daughters and spouses, Rebecca and Steven L. Hunsaker, of Tremonton, Utah, and Lara and K. Royce Barfuss, of Rupert; 13 grandchildren; three brothers and spouses, Ross and Louise Nielsen, of Hyrum, Utah, Eldon and Elna Neilson, of Hyrum, Utah; two sisters and spouses, Wallace and Muriel Johnson, of St. George, Utah, L. Arden and Diane Frank, of Hyrum, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 8, at noon in the Holbrook LDS Ward Chapel, Bishop Don Eliason officiating. Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N.
