Hugh Andrew Anderson

Hugh Andrew Anderson, 75, passed away suddenly on May 2, 2018, of a massive heart attack in Pocatello, Idaho.

Andy was born February 4, 1943, to Ross Arbon and Helen Regene Anderson. He was son number six out of seven and was the last remaining son.

Andy grew up in beautiful Curlew Valley. He graduated from Malad High School in 1961. He shawed horses for many years throughout high school and following graduation. He worked for Evans Brothers, Corbridge Brothers, as a car dealer, and Marvion Steel. He worked for his brother Wray doing construction up until his accident at the Stone rodeo in 1978. Andy loved the Anderson Ranch and lived there for many years.

On March 6, 1964 he married Doreen Thomas, to this union came five children: Still born twin boys, Donny Bill, Andrew Ross and Lisa Lynne. They later divorced.

Andy Moved to Malad in 2009 to be closer to his daughter, Lisa. She cared for him up until his passing.

We will miss his quick wit, funny stories and his love for life.

Andy is survived by his three children Don (Lynnie) Anderson, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Andy (Nancy) Anderson Malad, Idaho Lisa Price (James), Malad, Idaho. His grandchildren, Cassie (Dirk) Nimer, Malad, Idaho, Austin (Kelsey) Anderson Ogden, Utah Holden (Mariah) Price Malad, Idaho Kendi (Jesse) Price, Montpellier, Idaho Kylee (Trevor) Smith Lewiston, Utah Wyatt (Addie) Anderson Ogden, Utah Ashlyn Price Malad, Idaho. He has many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ross and Helen Anderson, a grandson William Tyrel Anderson, still born twin sons, and his six brothers, Doug, Junior, Carl, Joe, Wray and Lynn

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 8 at 12 noon in the Snowville LDS Chapel.  Friends may visit with the family on  Monday evening at the Horsley Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. and again at the church from 10:30-11:30 prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the Snowville Cemetery.
