This day our beloved husband, father and grandfather returned home to his Heavenly Father. Henry John Bowcutt, 83, passed away on December 17, 2004. He was born July 22, 1921 in Riverside, Utah to George A. and Pearl Newman Bowcutt. He married Merle Delene Jones on September 14, 1940 in Malad, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 27, 1963.

Henry is the ninth of eleven children, survived by his wife, Delene; two children, Brent (Marilyn) Bowcutt and Genie (Dale) Petersen, nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters, Cora and Annie. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings, Josephine, Cliff, Vera, George, Florence, Grace, Elaine and Blaine.

Henry was a Veteran of World War II. He served in the Army in both the American and Asiatic-Pacific Theaters. Henry was a member of the Capitol Hill 1st Ward and served for many years as a temple worker.

Funeral services will be at the Capitol Hill 1st Ward on December 21, 2004. Interment, Salt lake City Cemetery.
