Idaho Falls……Helen Seamons Jensen, 84, passed away on November 21, 2008. She was born August 3, 1924 in Hyde Park, Utah, a daughter of Ivan Valero and Mary Merrill Seamons. She was raised and eduated in Cache Valley, Utah and was a graduate of North Cache high School. As a young woman, she served an LDS mission to Alberta Canada. She married Vestal Jensen in 1951 in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Downey, Idaho, where they resided many years and raised their three children. She was an active member othe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and had served in several callings through the years. Her greatest enjoyment came in being with her family. Vestal passed away on May 25, 2000. She was preceded in death by her parents, her hubsand, Vestal, two sisters and a grandson, Tarl Maynard. she is survived by her children; Launa (Chris) Maynard of Shelley, Blake Jensen of Downey and Lisa Jensen of Shelley. 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral servivces will be held on Tuesday November 25, 2008 at 12 noon in the Downey LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the Jensen family on Tuesday at the church from 10:00-11:45 am. Burial will be in the Downey City Cemetery.
