Helen Harrison Allen

Helen Harrison Allen, 80, died Friday, May 30 (1980) in a nursing home in Soda Springs.
She was born July 8, 1899, at Malad to John and Charity Lucinda Harrison. She grew up and was educated in Malad and moved to Pocatello where she worked for several years.
On Oct. 10, 1935, she married Claude C. Allen in Ogden, Utah. He died March 16, 1980. They owned and operated a meat packing business in Tremonton, Utah for several years. They then sold the plant and moved to a ranch at Hagerman which they operated for a short time. They spent many years in Twin Falls and moved back to Malad four years ago. The past three years have been spent in the nursing home at Soda Springs.
Mrs. Allen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, with membership in both the Hagerman-Malad Chapters.
Survivors include two brothers and a sister, Lorenzo and Leigh Harrison, and Mrs. Mary Jones, all of Malad.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 3, 1980 in the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad with Bishop Hubert Gleed officiating.
Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery. Dedicatory Prayer E. Spence Horsley
