Harold Marriott Bell, (1913)

OGDEN – Harold Marriott Bell, 84, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather died Wednesday, January 14, 1998, at his home of causes incident to age.

He was born June 22, 1913 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Wallace Ridgeway and Maud Marriott Bell.

He married Ruth Elaine Daley on February 28, 1942 in Malad, Idaho.

He was a member of the Ogden 20th LDS Ward.

His family brought him great joy and his entire life was devoted and dedicated to her [his] family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was a veteran of WWII serving as a sergeant with the U.S. Army assigned to the 388th Bomber Squadron stationed in England.

He was a graduate of Ogden High School, Weber College and Smithsonian Business College, and an aircraft sheet metal.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and lover of the outdoors and nature.

Surviving are his children, Kurtis (Carolyn) Bell, Logan; Barbara (Robert) Slone, Woodbridge, Virginia; Kathie (Lamont) Theall, Ogden; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Clarice Bjorklund. He was preceded in death by his wife and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 3 p.m., at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, where friends may call on Saturday from 1:45 – 2:45p.m.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
