Gypsy Lee Newbold

Gypsy-Lee-Newbold

MCCAMMON —. Gypsy Lee Newbold began her temporal journeys in Tucson on February 26, 1976. Gypsy began a new journey on January 30, 2001. Gypsy’s life was full and varied.
Gypsy graduated from Marsh Valley High School in Arimo, Idaho, in 1994. Gypsy then attended Idaho State University in Pocatello before entering into service to her country in the United States Air Force. Following her tour with the Air Force, Gypsy continued her service to others by joining her Mother, Katy Newbold, in The Gambia, West Africa, where they worked together with the Peace Corps to improve the quality of life among their African friends.
Upon returning from Africa, Gypsy took up residence with her brother, Noah, in the Portland area. Once settled in with Noah, Gypsy continued to demonstrate her heart by mentoring elementary students in self-esteem in affiliation with AmeriCorps and Camp Fire. Gypsy also continued her studies at Portland Community College.
Her wit and charm made Gypsy irresistible, and her tenacity made her unforgettable. To her Dad, Gaylon Newbold, she was also vulnerable and soft spoken with an extraordinary heart that changed his life forever. Her sensitivity and loving taught him tolerance and patience. To him, Gypsy will always be his beautiful baby girl.
Katy learned about her own capacity for love and laughter from Gypsy. No one could share an un-spoken joke or insight into life better than Katy and Gypsy. That bond between mother and daughter was remarkable to everyone, and the sharing of life and the human experience between Katy and Gypsy remains unending and ever-growing,
So too, Noah had that shared life with his sister that cannot be defined. The life Gypsy and Noah shared was marked by a mutual love, respect and sharing that only truly kindred souls, old life souls can have. Noah and Gypsy were lifelong friends and companions, discovering and nurturing together the richness of experience and wonder at each new day together.
Gypsy was loved by everyone who was fortunate enough to get to know her, and we all will hold her in our hearts forever.
