TERRETON – Gwyllim D. Davis, 68, of Terreton, died Feb. 26, 1992, at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas following an illness.

He was born Sept. 21, 1923, at Alexander to Jenkins and Annie Woodland Davis. He grew up and received his education in Arimo. During World War II he served with the Army in the Pacific. He moved to Pocatello and was employed by Union Pacific Railroad.

On Aug. 16, 1943, he married Alice Baker at Pocatello. He worked for J.R. Simplot Co. for three years and then worked as a foreman for FMC Corp. for 35 years. For the past 10 years he had lived at Terreton, where he operated the Mark Clark and Davis Ranch.

He was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and bowling.

Survivors include his wife of Terreton; children, Daniel Ray Davis of St. Anthony, Gwendolyn Ponce of Garland, Texas, and Marva Dee Mum me of Las Vegas; four sisters, Mary Daniels and Thelma Nalley, both of Pocatello, and Pearl Ray and Helen Washburn, both of Roosevelt, Utah; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Graveside services will be Saturday at noon in the Marsh Center Cemetery. The family will meet with friends Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Manning Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., in Pocatello.
