Guy J. Bybee, 70, Rt. 2 North, Pocatello, died late Saturday evening, March 23, 1996 at a local medical center.

He was born October 17, 1925 in Downey Idaho, to Guy Jefferson and LaRita Bennett Bybee. He married Betty Aldous June 17, 1947 in Pocatello.

He was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as a car man for 41 years before retiring in 1987. He enjoyed watching sports, and he particularly loved dancing and working on his farm.

He always planted and kept a beautiful garden. He was a very loving father, and will be greatly missed. He was a member of the Central Christian Church of Pocatello.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; three children, Rodney J. and Peggy Bybee, Farmingtion, Utah, Gary (Skip) and Susan Bybee, Green River, Wyoming, Robyn J. Martinez and Dennis Clements, of Pocatello; four brothers, Keith Bybee, of Ogden, Utah, Rex Bybee, of Downey, Jack Bybee, of Pocatello, and Gene Bybee, of Morgan, Utah; three sister, Donna Burton, of Downey, Ruth Thornely, Boise, and Betty Austin, San Clemente, California; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Byron Clark Bybee.

Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, March 27, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Henderson-Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 N. 15th Ave., with Minister Emeritus Russell J. Houston of the Central Christian Church conducting. At Mr. Bybee’s request, cremation has been completed, prior to the family receiving friends Tuesday evening, March 26, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
