Grant Scott Jones

Grant Scott Jones passed away on October 10, 2011, with his family by his side in Murray, Utah in the Intermountain Medical Center.
Born September 6, 1954, in Malad, Idaho, to Grant House Jones and Helen Edwards Jones, Scott was the second of four children.
As a child he developed a passion for the land from working the ranch with his father and grandfather. He carried that passion with him throughout his life.
Scott graduated from Malad High School in 1972. He served in the Georgia/South Carolina mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints before spending 36 years in the banking industry. His loves were his sons, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, farming, hunting, fishing, shooting at the gun club, camping, horses and spending time with family and friends.
Scott is survived by his mother, Helen Jones (Logan, Utah); his son, Jesse Jones (Salt Lake City, Utah); his son, Tyson (Tahnee) Jones (Logan, Utah); his granddaughter, Addison Jones; his brother, Kirby (Debbi) Jones (Portland, Oregon); his sister, Melanie Jones (Tucson, Arizona); his sister, Shelli (Tony) Anstine (Millville, Utah); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Grant House Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 15, 2011 at 12 noon in the Horsley Funeral Home 132 W. 300 N. in Malad. Friends may visit with the Jones family on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home and on Saturday prior to services from 10:30-11:45 am.
