Grant Blackford Pincock

Grant Blackford Pincock – Our loving father, Grant Blackford Pincock, passed away on June 23, 2009. He was born in Teton, Idaho on April 10, 1922, to John Franklin and Susannah Blackford Pincock.
Grant grew up near Rexburg, Idaho, in the Warm Canyon area (Pincock Hot Springs), where he helped on his family farm and assisted in the operation of a swimming pool.
He joined the US Naval Service and served his country during World War II. He returned from the war and married his sweetheart Elene Jenkins, on October 23, 1946, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They had three children.
Grant and his family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1958 where he worked for Wheeler Machinery Co. until his retirement in 1984. At this time Grant and his wife, Elene, moved to their retirement home in Malad, Idaho.
Elene preceded him in death on September 11, 1997. Grant married Sarah Archibald Bush in April of 1999, she preceded him in death in 2004. Grant returned to Salt Lake City in 2005 to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He is survived by three (3) children: Jerry J. (Liz), Dennis Grant (Kathie), Sandra Irene (Rodney Struhs), fourteen (14) grandchildren, and twenty-two (22) great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Corey Rodney Struhs, four (4) sisters, three (3) brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at 12:00 noon in the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, Idaho. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.horsleyfuneralhome.com
