Grace Allen dies at Ogden

Grace Udy Allen, 70, of Riverside, Utah died Sunday, October 4, 1981 in an Ogden Hospital of a lingering illness. She was born September 24, 1911 in Riverside to Thomas J. and Charlotte Tims Archibald Udy.

She married John W. Allen March 26, 1943 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Allen died July 17, 1979.

She was a member of the Belmont Second LDS Ward. She has served as Primary President and visiting teacher. She has worked in all the Auxiliary organizations of the Church. She had worked as a checker at Jay’s Grocery in Riverside and Rudy’s IGA in Garland.

Surviving are three sons and one daughter: John Elray Allen, Malad; Lawrence Allen, Mantua, Ut. Mrs. Jerry (Pat) Checketts, Brigham City, Ut.; Joseph T. Allen, Riverside.

Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters: Newell J. Udy, Centerville, Ut.; Delose Udy, LaVoy Udy and Mrs. Marvin (Nina) Burnett, all of Riverside and Mrs. Grant (Vaudis) Skinner of West Valley City. She had fourteen grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 8, at 1:00 p.m. at the Belmont Ward Chapel in West Fielding. Friends may call at the Belmont Ward Church from 11:45 to 12:45. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
