Grace Matilda Williams

Our loving mother and grandmother, Grace Matilda Williams, passed away on December 27, 2016. Grace was born to parents Verga Zundel and Everrett Lester Bake on February 25, 1923. She grew up living with her mother and beloved grandparents, Issac David and Julia Zundel, where she attended school in Malad City, Idaho. Later she moved to a ranch with her mother, step-father Walter Jones, and her sister Vera Davis. She graduated from Malad City High School. Grace had a great love of reading, writing poems and life stories. Grace married her sweet heart Wayne James Williams on March 22, 1941 and later solemnized in the LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS church, holding many positions. Most important to mom was spending time with her family and giving her life to service and caring for others. Her sweet spirit lifted everyone around her. All who came in contact with Grace were better because of it. Grace was preceeded in death by her husband Wayne, son David Wayne, five step-brothers (Don, Oliver, Phil, Dale and Lynn), and a step-sister (Thelma). She is survived by her children, Dianne Jordison (Dale), Lana Korgenski (Kent), daughter-in-law Sherry Williams, sister Vera Davis, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 14 great, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7 at 11 a.m. in the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N. Friends may visit with the family Saturday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery.
