Grace Alveda Howell Baugh

Logan, Utah – Grace Alveda Howell Baugh, 85, died Thursday, October 7, 1993, in the Logan Regional Hospital of cancer.

She was born December 23, 1907 in Woodruff, Idaho, the youngest child of Thomas Jefferson and Mary Jane Heaton Howell.

She married Fred B. Baugh on June 5, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died January 7, 1977.

She was a member of the Logan 6th Ward. She had served in many church positions during her lifetime including was organist, ward and stake Relief Society President, Primary President and Sunday School teacher. She and her husband Fred frequently presented musical selections at various functions. She served a mission in the Denver Colorado Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She enjoyed music, was an outstanding cook, wife and mother. She was loved by all that knew her. Her greatest desire was to serve the Lord, her husband, her family and her fellowman.

She is survived by two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Fred B Baugh, Jr., Brigham City; Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Baugh, Logan; two daughters, Ross E. and Cherrill B. Nielsen, Pleasant View, Clar and Mary Alice B. Anderson; Lyman, Wyo.; 31 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters, three grandchildren, one great-grandson and one daughter-in-law.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Allen-Hall Mortuary with Bishop W. Lavan Gleed conducting.

Friends may call at the mortuary Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment in the Logan City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to your ward missionary fund.
