POCATELLO — Golda Elizabeth Brady Henderson passed away Friday, November 2, 2001, in Bountiful, Utah at age 100.
She was born January 16, 1901, in Fairview, Utah, to Lindsay Edmond and Dorthea Gurena Christensen Brady.
She married her eternal companion and the love of her life, James Woodland Henderson in the Logan, Utah temple January 12, 1921. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1988.
They made their home from 1921 to 1942, in Arimo, Idaho. From 1942 to 1966, they lived in California. They moved back to Idaho, living in Preston from 1966 to 1975. They moved to Bountiful, Utah, where they lived the rest of their lives.
Her life was a life of service to her family and to her church. She was a devout member of the LDS Church wherever she lived, serving.in the Primary, YWM1A, Relief Society, Sunday school and music positions. She excelled in homemaking, was a gifted poet and a shining example to her family, and all who came in contact with her.
She is survived by a son, Dan B. Henderson (Dorothy), Bountiful, Utah; daughters, Joane Jones (Richard), Layton, Utah, Nada Floisand (Trygve, deceased), Syracuse, Utah; 15 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 10-great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother. Grant Velmom Brady, Oakhurst, California, and a sister-in-law, Blanche Frenette, Boise, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held at Arimo, Idaho Wednesday. November 7, 2001, at noon in the Arimo Ward Chapel. Friends may meet with the family tonight, Tuesday, November 6 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Russon-Brothers Mortuary in Bountiful, Utah, and one hour prior to the services in the Arimo Ward Chapel. Burial will be at the Arimo, Idaho Cemetery.
