Glen Lee Williams

Glen Lee Williams passed away peacefully at Provident Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville, WA. January 6, 2019, from causes incident to age. He was born March 7, 1929 in Malad, Idaho, to Leo Daniels Williams and Marianne Pierce Williams. He was the oldest of five sons. He attended schools in Henderson Creek and Malad and graduated from Malad High School in 1947. He attended college at BYU and Utah State Agricultural College, and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northwestern States Mission. He served his country in the Army and was assigned to the Counter Intelligence Corps during the Korean War. He later met and married Rebecca Suzette Currington from Birmingham, Alabama, on November 16, 1979, in Murray, Utah. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple February 24, 1994.

Glen was very athletic and enjoyed participating in basketball. He worked in sales most of his life and achieved the highest rankings from New York Life Insurance and Napoleon Hill Academy for several years. He loved reading and researching things that were important to him. He suffered poor health most of his life, but maintained his sense of humor and his kind, gentle, and thoughtful personality until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Darl Craig Williams. He is survived by his wife Rebecca, two children, DeeDee Wiley and Jeremy Williams., five grandchildren, and his brothers, Terrel Blair (Lauralie), DelMar Pierce (Sylvia), and Roger John (Debra). A family memorial service will be held at the family ranch in Cherry Creek, Idaho, and burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery. The family would like to especially thank Glen’s wife, Becky, for her years of continual, loving care of him through his many illnesses.
