GRAVESIDE SERVICES HELD FOR FORMER MALAD MAN
Funeral services were held at Hurricane, Utah, Thursday afternoon for a former Malad resident, , 86, who died Dec. 21st, at a St. George hospital. Graveside services were held Friday morning at the Malad City Cemetery.
Mr. West, who lived at Willard and Hurricane, Utah, after leaving Malad in 1940, operated a candy making shop while residing here.
He was born June 4, 1879, a son of Charles and Anna Powers West. He married Lena A. Johnson March 26, 1900 in Fontanet, Indiana and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Mrs. West died April 6, 1940 at Malad. Mr. West married Florence Nelson at Great Falls, Montana, April 10, 1942 and the marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters, Mrs. R. A. (Naomi) Flint, Willard; Mrs. Joe (Gearaldine) Penna, Emporia, Kan.; Mrs. Reed (Iona) Molen, Great Falls, Mont.; George Milford West, Anchorage, Alaska; Mrs. Wayne (Ethel) Boulster, Redding, Calif.; David West, Butte, Mont.; Mrs. Earl (Donna) Ferguson, Washington; five stepsons and stepdaughters, 37 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren,
