Geneal Mary Washburn Moore

Geneal Mary Washburn Moore passed away Monday, March 22, 1993, in Tremonton, Utah of natural causes at the age of 64.

She was born September 27, 1928, in Monroe, Utah, a daughter of Gerald and Grace Allen Washburn, Mrs. Moore had lived in Monroe and Richfield, Utah and attended Brigham Young University. In 1946, she moved to Seattle, Washington.

She married Edward Moore, July 23, 1955 in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho and made their home in Seattle, Washington. After moving to Bellevue, Washington in 1960, she worked as a retail clerk at Frederick and Nelson and had also worked at a landscape nursery. While in Bellevue, she was actively involved in the Ryther and Phi Beta Si charitable organizations. In 1976, she and her husband moved to Kelso, Washington, where she worked in real estate for many years and where they later retired. She was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are her husband, residing in Kelso, Washington; four daughters, two sons, and their spouses – Janice Mackey, Salt Lake City, Utah; David and Peggy Moore, Kelso, Washington; Diana and Stan Campbell, Juniper, Idaho; Cynthia and Mike Ellis, Hillsboro, Oregon; James Moore, Phoenix, Arizona; Patricia and Brian Alleger, Redmond, Washington; a total of 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are her mother, Grace Allen Smoot, Richfield, Utah, two brothers and two sisters, Burnell Washburn, Leah Rae Hansen, Mona Lou Whittaker, Bryant Washburn, all of southern Utah.
