Frank W. Francis, 98, of Malad, Idaho, died Monday, March 23, 1998, at the home of his daughter of causes incident to age.

He was born November 11, 1899, in Dryden Township, Tompkins County, New York. His parents were Robert James (Albert Gem) and Georgia Belle Milks Francis. The third child in a family of eight, he was the last to survive.

He married Ada Leola Walden on May 11, 1918, in Spencer Tioga County, New York. They made their home in Cortland, New York, until 1968, when they moved to Malad, Idaho.

He was employed in the dairy and ice cream business until retiring. He was an active member of the LDS Church, and enjoyed gardening, family and senior citizens’ activities.

He is survived by two sons and one daughter, Stanley (Doris) Francis of Olympia, Washington, Mary Virginia (Clarence) Kent of Malad, Idaho, and James (Jean) Francis of Crystal River, Florida; nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Francis died in 1982.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 27, 1998. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
