Frank Densley Winward

Frank Densley Winward, 83 passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in Downey, Idaho. Frank was born June 12, 1931 in Riverton, Utah, to Peter LeeRoy and Mildred Densely Winward. He was raised in Riverton and graduated from Jordan High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War. Frank married Barbara Jean Adams in Salt Lake City. They moved to Roy where they raised their seven children. He was a member of the LDS church. Frank was a man of many talents. He not only served his country but was also very active in his community. He acquired land near Downey, Idaho and after retirement from Hill Air Force Base was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of having a cattle ranch where he enjoyed many years of living the lifestyle he loved. Frank is survived by five sons; Dean (Wendy), Steven (Patty), Brent (Lolly), Jay, Kent (Melissa), two daughters; Pam (Kurt) Bennington, RaeAnn (Tim) Huggins, twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Valoy Cavenaugh, and one brother, Elmo Winward. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, parents, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 10, at 11:00 a.m. in the Downey LDS 2nd Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery, Downey, Idaho.
