Floyd M. Gleed

Floyd M. Gleed, 81, passed away Tuesday, May 8, with his family by his side. Floyd was born September 26, 1936 in Malad to Hubert Samuel Gleed and Mary R. Morgan. Floyd was raised in Malad and graduated from Malad High School. After graduation, Floyd took a few auto shop classes in college and then worked at the Chevy Garage doing auto bodywork. Floyd then married the love of his life, Nedra Jean (Thomas) Gleed on February 24, 1961. Floyd served his country while stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Floyd retired from Thiokol Corporation after 42 years of service in in the Plastics Tooling Department. Floyd’s passion in life, besides his family, was anything to do with cars. Floyd was a perfectionist and tackled any project with flawless precision.

Floyd is survived by his wife Nedra T. Gleed; brother, Norman (Julia) Gleed, sister Mary Margaret (Denny) Johnson, son; Scott Alan (Juli) Gleed; daughter Tracie (Thomas) Greene; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Thomas Henry Gleed, Gordon Kay Gleed; sister; JoAnn Tuttle.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12 noon in the Malad 4th Ward Chapel. Viewings will be held at the Horsley Funeral Home Monday from 7-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
