Fay Louise Morrison Day

Downey, Idaho – Fay Louise Morrison Day passed away from this life on Monday, August 2, 2010. She returned home for a happy reunion with her husband, Merle; her mother & Father; her son, Dennis; Brothers; Leland, Oren, Kenneth; sister Joy; and many friends and family.

Fay was born on the 24th of July, 1927 in Downey, Idaho, where she was raised and worked on the farm with her siblings and parents. She married Merle Keith Day, also of Downey, on the 10th of April, 1946 and went on to have 5 sons.

Early in her life the family moved to North Salt Lake, Utah where she was until the last five years of her life. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she held many callings and taught many classes for her ward. As the boys grew she was also active in Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts.

When she could still get around she loved to go on “Road Trips” with friends & family. Fay always loved it when the boys and their families would visit, especially the grandkids and great-grandkids.

She is survived by her sons; Fred Day, North Salt Lake, Utah; Harvey (Cheryl) Day of Logan, Utah; and Douglas (Jill) Day of Papillion, Nebraska. She has 9 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday August 6, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the Downey LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the Day family on Thursday evening at the Downey church from 6-8 pm and on Friday prior to services from 11:30 am-12:30 pm.
