Essie Sarah Bybee Wakley

DOWNEY – Essie Sarah Bybee Wakley, 97, of Downey, passed away Friday, June 5, 1998, at the Oneida County Nursing Home.
She was born March 4, 1901, at Downey, the daughter of William Jefferson and Eliza Ellen Aldous Bybee. She has been a lifelong resident of Downey, but for the past ten years she has been in the nursing home in Malad.
She was married to John Carl Wakley on Sept. 13, 1928, at Malad. Mr. Wakley passed away Jan. 27, 1952.
Mrs. Wakley is a member of the LDS Church. She is survived by three sons and their spouses, John J. Wakley of San Jose, Calif.; Dee E. and Rae Lene Waklev, Malad: Clark B.. and Gayle Wakley, Tremonton, Utah; also nine grandchildren and 27 great-grand-children; three brothers and one sister, Ross Bybee, Twin Falls; John D. Bybee, Seattle, Wash.; Lloyde Bybee, Downey; and Juanita Garvin, Pocatello. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters, Dow, Guy, Glen, Wil-son, Jennie Bowen, Margaret Chris-tensen and Minnie Lewis; and one granddaughter, Kristi Wakley.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 9, 1998, at noon at Horsley Marsh Valley Funeral Home. The family will meet friends on Monday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
