Emily Thomas Andrew

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, December 27th, Eureka, Utah LDS Ward Chapel for Mrs. Emily Thomas Andrew, age 75, who died December 23rd of an apparent heart attack. Burial was in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

Mrs. Thomas was born Jan. 4, 1897, at Malad, a daughter of Joseph Hyrum and Emily Maria Rees Thomas. She was married to John Henry Andrew, July 5, 1918, at Redwood City, California, and the marriage was solemnized March 4, 1964, in the Salt lake LDS Temple. She attended the State Normal School at Albion. She was a former school teacher, county chairman of the American Cancer Society and a member of Entre Nous Literary Club.

Mr. Andrew worked as a druggist in Malad.

Surviving are her husband, two daughters, 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, William R., Malad; Mrs. Merle (Ethel) Lignitz, Bremerton, Wash.; Mrs. Leone Brown, Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Allgler, Leo, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Leland (Ruth) Curtis, Ogden; Mrs. Edna Crum, Lava Hot Springs.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Thomas attended the funeral services. Mrs. Estella Jones called at the mortuary the evening before.
